The Discovery Quadrant is an official issue of the National Maritime Historical Society presented in 1992 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's voyage to America. 

It is a fully functional re-creation, crafted in solid brass. 

This Discovery Quadrant is in excellent condition, with some very minor tarnish spots and a few light scratches to unexposed areas of the original wood base.  It displays very well and would be an excellent addition to any collection.
