This fantastic Pacific Northwest Native American art print is professionally framed with matting and depicts the Haida Moon. It was likely created in the 1970's or earlier. It is in excellent vintage condition with minor wear to the frame.
The back of the frame has a piece of paper with the description below of the artist, Clarence Mills.
"Clarence Mills was born into the Wilson family at Skidegate, Queen Carlotte Islands. His grandmother Na-nai (Kathleen Hans) told his mother that he was destined to be a Haida carver - a reincarnation of her late husband, Isaac Hans, a renowned Haida artist. Henry Young, his great-grandfather, was also a great Haida carver and from this family Clarence received his Haida name. At the age of 18, Clarence, inspired by the culture of his ancestors, began to study totems of argillite and cedar and felt compelled to capture the traditional spirit and strenght of his culture through the art. With some drawings and guidance from his uncle, Doug Wilson (carver and author), he has sought the simple, smooth, flowing style of the Haida while developing his own style of intricate, meticulous and integrated artwork. For five years he taught himself the demanding art and then when his self-apprenticeship was over, he released his work to the public. The demand for his artwork has allowed Clarence to carve full-time and to further refine his design-work and skill. Through numerous private sales and commissions, Clarence has sold carvings in argillite, ivory, yellow cedar and more recently, in gold and silver. His objective is to continue to capture the beauty of Haida art in gold and silver sculpture."
