This memorizing vintage carved wooden mask featuring Chac-Mool was made by local artisans near the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza.
The date of creation is unknown, possibly 1990's or earlier, generally classified as folk art. The wood is slightly worn with age. It appears to be carved from a single solid piece of wood and includes a small metal loop on the back for wall hanging.
Pictures of the stone Chac-Mool statue located at Chichen Itza upon which this work was based appear in the last two images for reference.
