This fantastic Mayan Warriors art print is professionally framed and depicts Sun and Snake Warrior scenes found at the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza.  The depiction is printed on a heavy fiber based paper/canvas with frayed ends.  It was likely created in the 1990's or earlier.  The back of the frame has a piece of paper under the glass with the description below in both Spanish and English.

"This representation points out a battle scene where the main character are the sun warrior.  Placed at the left top represented by a solar disc with triangular protuberances that wraps him like an attack weapon and also by a jaguar head; and the other character that is at the bottom of the same side.  This is the snake warrior who is protected by this animal while from its jaws comes out a reed that attacks his several enemies inferior in hierarchy.  Military hierarchy ranks were won for brave acts in battle, so, being a sun warrior or a snake warrior meant to be a very skilled and strong warrior whose ability allows him to fight successfully against four or five opponents at the same time, as it is represented on this Chichen Itza wall."

Pictures of stone reliefs featuring Snake Warriors from Chichen Itza upon which portions of this artwork were based appear in the last images.
